earth day should be every day

earth day should be every day,
don't you think?

so what have you all done new and different
to make your carbon footprint lighter?

i finally found the lunch box i had been looking for
for years, and at a very fine price too, i might add :)

i got a new cool tip to use them when eating out
to use tiffins as doggie bags at restaurants-
the containers they usually give have annoyed me forever.

bravo aimee!
i also am using cloth napkins instead of the paper ones
except during the classes i teach.
it feels very fancy, like eating off the good china.
the cloth reusable shopping bags are so handy for everything-
just remember to bring them along-
and not to leave them in the car!! ;P
i have been making my own laundry soap for years...

and there are so many little things worth doing
that make a big impact when you add them all together
with all the other people who are making the effort.
so continue to save energy
use less water
reduce/ reuse/recycle

here are some tips from epa.gov

Tips about saving energy For example, reduce your carbon footprint! Use public transportation, carpool, walk, or bike whenever possible to avoid using your car.

Tips about using water efficiently For example, buy water-efficient fixtures and products. The WaterSense label helps shoppers identify water efficient products and programs.

Tips to Reduce / Reuse / Recycle For example, allow grass clippings to stay on the lawn, instead of bagging them. The cut grass will decompose and return to the soil naturally.

Tips for making environmentally protective choices For example, during hot weather, don't top off your gas tank. Even a small gas spill adds to air pollution and wastes fuel.

they have TONS more tips at that link.

have a wonderful day all-

xo
