94:100 where has the year gone?

94:100 where has the year gone?

it just speeds by once the winter is here
we have not gotten enough snow for my liking
seems the south... the midwest... well, practically anywhere
but here has been getting the snow instead of me.

how have you been doing for the last 100 days of the year challenge?
i find for myself that i was not perfect- i had lofty goals :)
but i am waay ahead of where i was when this began.
i wouldn't be at this position now if i hadn't set those goals

only a few days left
making the most of it!!

37:100 good days bad days

37:100 good days & bad days

good days & bad days.....
they both happen
and tomorrow will be yet another day.
when you have a low day
don't throw in the towel-
it really won't make your life any better, you know.

try going on a negative thought diet
don't allow any negative thoughts to dwell in your head
it's harder than you think- because sometimes the neg thinking
is waaay more than you ever thought you were doing.
but be persistent
play happy music
think pleasant thoughts
say good words
have a good healthy green meal
and see if you don't feel better again very soon.

stick with your goals
cause you're going places with such wonderful goals
and know this, i am rooting for you too.

:)

talk to you again soon

34:100 goals

34:100 goals

so we are 1/3 into the 100 day challenge...
have you challenged yourself to be a better person, live a better life?
if you have challenged yourself i heartily congratulate you!!
you have also been stepping outside your comfort zone then.
how's that feeling for you?
are you like me, and finding that the momentary discomfort
leads to great satisfaction and joy?
it's great to have attainable goals.

keeping a journal is very helpful in being able to go back and seeing
all the positive results that may slip by the wayside
with all the flurry of daily activity... go back and read it
you will suddenly remember why all the changes you have chosen
to pursue were so important to you
and help strengthen your resolve to continue.
if you make bite sized goals they are easier to accomplish
and soon you have done a bunch of them, leading to great feelings
and then you seem to zoom ahead happily.
if your goal is too large, it is easy to give up overwhelmed.
so have do-able goals and feel confident- because you can do it!

i think i may have perfected the raw vegan salmon recipe

now i will have an outside source test it out and see if it works as well for them too.
if so, i will be putting it into my book "raw delights".
i am still searching for some great cover ideas
since i am still stuck on this and really need it to move forward.
suggestions welcome! :)

on yesterday's blog i mentioned korean fermented black garlic
in hindsight i was thinking perhaps it was regular garlic
and turned black during the fermentation process.
if anybody has any knowledge on this please pipe up
and let me know :)

ok, time to get moving again
have a wonderful healthy day

100 days till 2010

how do you eat an elephant
one bite at a time.

-don't get the wrong idea
i am not talking about eating this animal at all!
i am referring to goals that seem impossibly large
to accomplish-

tomorrow marks 100 days till 2010
isn't that a wonderful time frame to use in getting to some of your
nearest & dearest wished for goals??
i usually miss the boat when a group of people set out together
with mutual support to accomplish something big-
and i kick myself for not having begun in time.
well, this time i have a day to spare-
a day to get my ducks in a row.
:)
thanks for the heads up rebecca!

think of it as your very own personal 'swan' program
your goals can be of a physical nature, or emotional, mental, spiritual-
any and all changes you have always wanted to make.
if you make the bites small enough- it all becomes deliciously do-able.

the first thing i did was subscribe to the free emails (thanks dax!)
that give me a daily dose of encouragement
(i cannot endorse the program as i haven't purchased it- just the free emails)

next i am arranging all my goals and breaking them down into small steps that i can take to reach the end result (without too much pain hahaha!)

this is how people do the big things...
the great big memorable huge things
what big things do you want to do?
lose weight?
read the entire bible?
tone up?
make peace with someone?
eat more raw?
have an adventure?
make your marriage as great as it can be?
teach your children how to be good beings?
learn another language?
develop a skill?
start a business?
________ (you fill in the blank)

tomorrow begins the first day of 100...
join right on in-
reap the rewards!!!!

new things

feeling a little at odds with yourself?

everywhere around me people are focusing on the new year
and a new way of life to improve their own physical,
mental, and spiritual beings.
health... well being... happiness... and plenty other goals
yearned for and yet rarely reached.
it's not as easy as putting it on your to-do list.

it kind of reminds me of the i'll start the diet monday' way of thinking.
resolutions rarely stick. how many people have stopped smoking
every jan 1...
only to need to again by the next day, week, month, year.
real change comes from a deeper place.

i have found a nice little freebie dealing with successfully making changes,
here is a link for a free pdf that may help.
i found some useful info in it. it's called:
The Power Of Me 5 steps to personal success

here are a few more new things i have found this week:

today, i came across a new website the all raw directory,
that helps people searching all things raw,
and it looks really useful! i even signed up my blog & website.

new issue of purely delicious!
with a surprise from me inside ;)

with all the things you look forward to in this coming new year
i wish you all health and happiness!
